Abstract: The functions and meanings of ventilation system in hospital are introduced with its design and pitfalls in operation and management ana-lyzed. Based on the investigation and analysis of the indoor air condition in a general hospital, it shows that the indoor air condition is universally terri-
ble with high dust density and dissatisfactory rate of indoor disinfectant fluid smell and sick smell over 50%. Ventilation improvement relies not only on ventilation system and technology, but also governmental regulation on hospital ventilation design.
